CAGS to host 58th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Virtual Format

CAGS is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its next Annual General Meeting (AGM) in a virtual format on 3 February 2021, from 2:45-4:15 PM (EST). This AGM requires advanced registration to attend, and is open to all individuals from CAGS member institutions in good standing. Please note that each member institution is permitted only one ballot for voting on motions.
The AGM will be offered as part of our 58th Annual CAGS Conference programming, however the meeting is open to both attendees and non-attendees of the conference. Attendees of the conference can access the AGM through their conference agenda portal (available from 25 January) and are not required to register in advance – those who are not attending the conference but wish to attend the AGM must register in advance.
This year’s AGM will include updates from the CAGS Executive Committee, Governance & Nominating Committee, and Finance & Audit Committee, as well as a brief presentation by representatives of the Tri-Agencies. Motions will be presented for votes on a newly updated set of CAGS By-Laws, and on a slate of candidates for election to the CAGS board of directors. The AGM will be followed by a visioning session focussed on generating ideas for the next strategic planning exercise and the future of CAGS. An agenda and document package will be distributed to registrants prior to the meeting. The AGM will be conducted in both official languages, and an interpretation service will be provided simultaneously through a third-party service.
