Dr. Roberto Morandotti is an outstanding graduate student mentor. A Professor at INRS since 2008, he has supervised 15 M.Sc. students, 25 Ph.D. students, and 32 postdoctoral researchers. Dr. Morandotti’s mentoring style is defined by collaboration and teamwork. An internationally-recognized leader in quantum photonics, his graduate students benefit from research partnerships with major universities in China, Russia, Italy, and Germany, where they have undertaken fruitful exchange programs and research fellowships. Closer to home, he has helped his students transform their research into successful businesses, and to establish local, student-led chapters of several major professional organizations.
