Nancy Mayo is an outstanding graduate student mentor. A Professor in the Department of Medicine at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University, she has supervised 70 Master’s students and 30 doctoral students, many of whom have become leaders in health research in Canada and around the globe.

Dr. Mayo is known for her ability to foster confidence in novice learners. A dedicated mentor who inspires her graduate students to excel, she works hard to develop the life-long learning habits that are required in the fast-changing world of health science. “She has an infectious love for research and mentorship,” writes a former graduate, which encourages a spirit of community among her students.
