Marilyn Taylor is an outstanding graduate student mentor. A Professor in the School of Leadership Studies at Royal Roads University, she has supervised both master’s and doctoral students in a variety of professions, many of whom have become leaders in public, private enterprise, and academic settings. The majority of Dr. Taylor’s graduate supervision emphasized the synthesis of theory and practice with mid-career students who are dedicated to improving the quality of organizational and community environments across Canada. To enhance the learning of these students, she has developed numerous graduate level courses and programs; she currently teaches and supervises candidates in Leadership Studies and the Doctor of Social Sciences program. “She has an in-depth understanding of values-based leadership,” writes a former graduate student, “but also of the practical application of leadership in the business world.”
