Updates on the 58th Annual CAGS Conference

On behalf of CAGS, I am writing to let you know that the 58th Annual CAGS Conference, originally scheduled to be held virtually in Ottawa during the first week of November 2020, will be postponed. With so many challenges and uncertainties remaining for the fall semester, we believe it best to host this year’s annual conference in early 2021.

The 58th Annual CAGS Conference will be held virtually at the end of January 2021. The event will include all of the elements typically featured at our in-person conference, as well as some new opportunities to share, learn, and connect with colleagues and friends. We are excited to leverage our virtual platform to offer an expanded slate of workshops, panel presentations, and keynote addresses, as well as award ceremonies, special guest speakers, and interactive social events. We wish to bring together a diverse community of deans, associate deans, graduate administrators, faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students from across Canada. The entire conference will feature remote simultaneous interpretation offering content in both English and French.

Further details about the 58th Annual CAGS Conference will be released in the coming weeks, including the announcement of the conference theme and a call for speakers and panel presentations. Registration for the conference will open in mid-November and will be managed through the CAGS website. If you wish to learn more about the 58th Annual CAGS Conference or to submit a proposal in advance of the call, please write to info@cags.ca.
